Back into the Boro again...

I moved back into Murfreesboro again in April, just in time for the Good Friday tornado to devastate other parts of the city. Luckily I was able to provide assistance where I was. I still don't have Internet access at my apartment, but I can walk 20 minutes north or south of where I am at and use the free Internet at either Krystal or the University library. I'm hoping that I'm over this migraine that hit me all last week and can get back on my feet.

Well, back to work. Hope everyone's doing well...

Take care.

The worst tornado season in 8 years, and I handled it fine.

We had a tornado outbreak on 7 April 2006, with 12 deaths in Tennessee. I manned the American Red Cross chapter in Murfreesboro, relaying storm reports from east Tennessee to the National Weather Service in Nashville. Probably saved a few lives in the process.

Let severe weather season begin.

I left work to head home, and by the time I was across the street from my apartments, the tornado sirens sounded. Talk about unnerving. But I guess living in the Southeast, you get used to it. :P

BitTorrent just got a bit lighter.

I just recently switched BitTorrent clients from Azureus to µTorrent. It's not only lighter, but the executable is 130KB.

Also, I attended the Association of Information Technology Professional's Nashville student conference over the weekend. I placed 3rd in PC Troubleshooting, 4th place in PC Troubleshooting (Written Exam), and earned Honorable Mention in Network Design.

Busy weekend. :)
